During pregnancy, you do not need to rehome a cat; delegate litter cleaning and prevent infection through food and soil hygiene
Delegating litter cleaning costs nothing; disposable gloves are inexpensive if no one else can do it.
The cited studies did not find that owning a cat itself raises toxoplasmosis risk. Undercooked meat and contaminated soil were more relevant exposures; pregnancy can make first infection serious.

The excuse
The routine already works until the day the source says it may not.
What feels good now
Today I keep a few minutes, a bit of persistence and avoid interrupting my default routine.
What the source says
The source summarizes the return this way: “The cited studies did not find that owning a cat itself raises toxoplasmosis risk. Undercooked meat and contaminated soil were more relevant exposures; pregnancy can make first infection serious.” Evidence grade B. The original states the population, caveats, and sources; this is not a personal forecast.

THE ENGLISH EDITION
Original recommendation and evidence
17. During pregnancy, you do not need to rehome a cat; delegate litter cleaning and prevent infection through food and soil hygiene
Cost: Delegating litter cleaning costs nothing; disposable gloves are inexpensive if no one else can do it.
In plain terms: The cited studies did not find that owning a cat itself raises toxoplasmosis risk. Undercooked meat and contaminated soil were more relevant exposures; pregnancy can make first infection serious.
Applicability and limits: Follow prenatal-care guidance. The source recommends daily litter changes, handwashing, thoroughly cooked meat, and asking a clinician about testing or individual concerns.
